Your ultimate goal is to earn enough to buy yourself a ticket to Earth—a planet you’ve always dreamed of returning to. Astronomics draws parallels with FTL: Faster Than Light's gameplay with its mix of strategy and survival amidst cosmic challenges.
Build your path to Earth through asteroid mining
In Astronomics, Earth has become a luxury that only a fortunate few can afford. For everyone else, survival means working in the asteroid belt and mining resources for powerful corporations. You take on this challenge under the guidance of CUBO, an AI representative of Cube Corporation. With a starship at your command, your goal is to extract valuable materials, complete corporate contracts, and eventually earn a way back to Earth.
To keep up with increasing demands, you’ll need to automate your operations. Worker bots handle resource transport, while command bots help manage multiple tasks at once. As you progress, upgrading your mining tools becomes essential, with different corporations offering specialized equipment. Expanding your ship is just as important, as your growing workload requires more space for processing and storage. No two expeditions are the same, thanks to procedurally generated asteroids.
The asteroid belt isn’t just about mining—it’s a place full of risks and unexpected discoveries. Pirates lurk in deep space, threatening your hard-earned resources, while contracts often involve more than just gathering materials. You might be tasked with data collection, search and rescue, or even manufacturing specialized equipment. Exploring different regions reveals unique environments. However, with the game still in Early Access, some features may evolve before the final release.
